USS Constitution defeating Cyane and Levant, February 20, 1815.
Depicting "Old Ironside" encounter with two Royal Navy ships off the Canary Islands in a battle by moonlight. The British opened the first fire, but caused very little damage. Captain Stewart of the USS Constitution successfully kept the two British ships separated under his heavy raking fire and HMS Cyane surrendered shortly thereafter. HMS Levant surrendered after a 2 hour chase.
