Anne Bonny and Mary Read
Fierce female pirates aboard Calico Jack Rackham’s sloop. When Jack was caught and hung Anne Bonny told him“If you had fought like a man you wouldn’t have to be hanged like a dog” She and Mary were to be hanged as well but when it was found they were both pregnant the hanging was postponed. Mary died in prison and Anne’s fate is lost in history but she did not hang.
